Appleton Mulch, Stone, & Bulk Landscaping Materials
You can save money vs by-the-bag by buying mulch, topsoil, and decorative stone at Lowney’s Landscaping of Appleton. All Items are available for pickup or delivery. We offer large quantities of four different colors of mulch, numerous variations of decorative stone, plus screenings, sand, clear stone, crushed stone, boulders, and more.
If you’re not sure what clear stone means (versus crushed stone) then stop in and ask us! We can drop any of these items right on your trailer, or deliver them. We can deliver yards of granite boulders and we sell bulk polymeric sand and topsoil.
Our mulch colors are mocha, black, cedar, and hardwood. We have “eco chips” which is ground wood, mostly from our tree service.

Can you save money by using bulk landscaping supplies?
Yes, if you are an Appleton mulch buyer (or in the general vicinity of our office just north of Appleton), you can save money purchasing in bulk versus small bags from a Big Box store. We can drop mulch, topsoil, or decorative stone right into your trailer or truck. You can also have it delivered. If you have a sizable project at all, the cost at the store (bag by bag) will typically be more than simply stopping by our lot and having us drop it on your trailer. Many people are still better off getting delivery, even if they still have a trailer. Also remember that if you simply want our professional crews to delivery and install the mulch and stone, visit our landscaping maintenance page.
Should I order mulch or stone online or stop in?
We recommend you stop in to see the color variations and determine the quantity you will need. Confirm our store hours on our About page before stopping in. Generally, we’re open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday from Spring through Fall, with Saturdays available in the Spring and Summer. If you already know what you want, you don’t need to visit, or you can visit and order online later.
How do I know how much mulch or stone I need?
If you’re not sure how much mulch or decorative stone is in a yard, or if you have no history with the space you’re working on so you don’t remember how much you need, you can click here to use our calculator. One thing we’d add is that it is very common for people to revisit our store to get more; it is quite uncommon for us to hear that somebody ordered too much.
Can you deliver trees, plants, furniture, etc.?
“Maybe” is the best answer; some of our products like trees do have delivery and planting programs available. Visit our Retail & Bulk page to learn more about our other products like plants and trees, and then it’s best to give us a call to schedule a visit, or simply stop by to browse our Garden Center and choose your favorite tree.
