Lowney’s Landscaping Center History
After 25+ years of service, Lowney’s now employs over 100 hardworking team members and has grown into one of the most respected landscape companies in NE Wisconsin. Lowney’s Landscaping Center is a fully licensed and insured dwelling contractor providing complete project management.
Lowney’s is committed to offering a comprehensive variety of landscape and construction services for residential, commercial and industrial needs. Our eyes are fixed upon ensuring the same superior workmanship and knowledgeable care in every project regardless of size or complexity.
With our full-time carpenter, full-time Garden Center staff, and the experts from Lowney’s Tree Service, you get access to specialists at every stage of your project.
Company History
Like many landscaping companies, Lowney’s Landscaping Center, Inc., began with a pickup truck, a wheelbarrow, and a dream in 1997 while Joe Lowney was attending college. Following graduation in 1998, Joe entered into a partnership with his father, Dennis, and the business acquired its first tractor and hired its first employee.
The business experienced continued growth in its assets and client base over the next several years. A 2005 real estate purchase and the subsequent construction of our office/shop in 2007 allowed the business to move to its current location, and 2009 saw the addition of our retail garden center.
In 2014, the business acquired property on Wege Road, just a couple of miles north of our headquarters, dubbed the North Site. In 2017 construction finished on a brand-new shop at the North Site, and our Maintenance and Construction divisions, as well as our mechanics, have since occupied the premises.
By 2024, numerous other buildings had been built, including a mechanics shop housing four full-time mechanics.

1997:
Joe Lowney, his father Dennis “Skeeter” Lowney and his brother Billy start the family business.
2000s:
The first office is built in the early 2000s followed by the opening of our first retail shop location shop.
2014:
The Richmond/Wege Rd. location is acquired.
2017:
Construction is finished to provide offices and buildings for our growing Maintenance/Construction/Mechanical divisions.
2022:
Lowney’s acquires Jason’s Tree Services to open another complementary division. Jason’s is renamed Lowney’s Tree Service in 2024.
2024:
The company builds a large mechanics shop and hires four full-time mechanics to keep the fleet of more than 90 trucks, cars, and other machines operating safely for its crews.

We called and had our yard re-mulched. Amazing job! Jeremy was super responsive on the quote, had the crew out right away and they got the job done. It looks great. I would highly recommend using them. Their crew banged out 2 1/2 truckloads of mulch in one day and not a spec was left anywhere.

We will continue to have them help us maintain our home with mulching and overall landscaping services. Btw, their connection to the Tree Service is also excellent. Arborist Adam has taught me many things about my own yard!
