Jared News Turning Positive

Still Needs Prayers, and Appreciates Letters (UPDATED SEPT. 27)

UPDATE ON SEPT. 27

Positive Momentum for Jared

Jared Borchardt continues to improve and is moving to a rehab facility in Green Bay this coming week. He’s moving fingers and arms in ways that he wasn’t previously, is eating whole foods, and the family continues to feel positive momentum.

“Thankfully his body has responded well to the surgery and came out of it the best he has yet!,” writes sister Megan Borchardt on the CaringBridge page. “He’s been up, moving, walking, talking, and getting back on track this past week. What a blessing! AND Jared has been cleared to start a soft food diet!”

Jared is now at four months since the accident. There is still work to do so keep the positive vibes and prayers going.

UPDATE ON SEPT. 13

Jared Borchardt has gained some momentum in his recovery and the vibes are positive. Some of the recent comments from his sister Megan Borchardt:

  • We got an amazing update the past two days… Jared can start being weened off the neck collar!
  • Jared has come a far way in almost three weeks at rehab!
  • It’s great to see his personality and hear his smart-witted responses. It’s been a long journey to get here and he still has a long road to get back to being independent. But we feel that he is on the right course to get there and we pray he can stay on this course.

Continue the prayers and also please notice that Jared loves notes, letters, etc.

PREVIOUS UPDATES

We had a great Jared Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 19, with more than 50 donors. That was meant as a Thank You to The Community Blood Center. It was covered by Channel 5 in Green Bay.

Watch the Thank You Video we created here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMYPSokX_9o

Below is our original article

First, everybody at Lowney's Landscaping and Jason's Tree Service would like to extend our sincerest thanks for the outpouring of support provided to Jared, his girlfriend Ashley, and their families. We’ve also received so many calls and emails offering support here at Lowney’s Landscaping and it means more than you can know.

Jared has gained some momentum this week, but he still has a long journey ahead of him. Jared, Ashley, and their families need our continued support.

Here are three options for you to help.

Option 1: GoFundMe. If you would like to help the family. Here is their GoFundMe page. Lowney’s Landscaping will be matching the first $10,000 donated.

If you would like to donate directly to the family via Cash or Check, please stop by our office at N3310 Hwy 47 (just north of Mackville).

Option 2: Town of Center EMS Fund-Raiser. We would also like to stress how incredible the Town of Center First Responders and Firefighters acted on that horrible day. We are also organizing a fund-raiser for the Town of Center EMS. We would love to help them get AEDs and new radios. Please click here to donate online with a credit card or stop by our office if you would like to drop off cash or checks.

Option 3: Blood Drive. We would also like to acknowledge the important work done by The Community Blood Center. Our entire team will be using this terrible event as a reminder to help save a life by giving blood.

We’ve organized a day to give blood at our facility on Wednesday, June 19, and we’ll get the grill going, too. You can join us by signing up here:
