Our Story of Growth and Dedication

Lowney’s Landscaping began in 1997 with a single pickup truck and a steadfast work ethic. Today, the company stands as one of Wisconsin’s respected names in landscaping and tree care. Expansion across Appleton has grown alongside a promise to treat each property with care and precision.

Joe Lowney, his father Dennis “Skeeter” Lowney and his brother Billy started the family business.

The first office is built in the early 2000s followed by the opening of our first retail shop.

The Richmond/Wege Rd. location is acquired.

Construction is finished to provide offices and buildings for our growing Maintenance/Construction/Mechanical divisions.

Lowney’s Landscaping acquires Jason’s Tree Services to open another complementary division. Jason’s is renamed Lowney’s Tree Service in 2024.

The company builds a large mechanics shop and hires four full-time mechanics to keep the fleet of more than 90 trucks, cars, and other machines operating safely for its crews.

Steve Miller arrived per schedule this morning to provide aeration, overseed, fertilizer and control for several pesky weeds. Very knowledgeable regarding turf maintenance. Very approachable and generous with his time answering questions and providing approaches to better maintain my 1/3 acre property. I’ve used Lowney’s for aeration and over-seeding multiple times in the past. This year, they will provide turf fertilizing via their turf program. Looking forward to great service as has been provided in the past.
